Location & Getting Around

Villa Rafaello is situated in a privileged, peaceful spot in Agia Pelagia, providing quick and easy access to excellent beaches and local highlights.

Beaches Nearby: You are remarkably close to a selection of Crete's most beautiful beaches. We highly recommend visiting the nearby Lygaria Beach, Agia Pelagia Beach, as well as the stunning coves of Mononaftis and Psaromoura.

Dining & Seaside Cafes: For an authentic taste of local flavor, you must try dining right by the water. Our top recommendations include the traditional Nikolas Taverna and the vibrant Sirocco on Lygaria beach.

IdealStay Recommendation: We strongly recommend renting a car for your stay. Agia Pelagia is a magnificent coastal hub, but its real beauty lies in its strategic location. Having a car gives you total freedom to explore the entire region with ease. You can enjoy quick day trips to the historic village of Fodele (birthplace of El Greco), drive into the bustling city center of Heraklion for sightseeing and shopping, or head west for an excursion to the romantic old town of Rethymno. Villa Rafaello serves as the perfect, accessible base for all your Cretan adventures!
